Short Adventure Games for People With No Time
Not every adventure needs to swallow your month. Some of the most memorable things I played this year wrapped up in under six hours, and I finished all of them, which is more than I can say for the big ones.
Tideworn Isles is my current favorite here. It's a calm exploration game you can finish over a couple of evenings, and it never overstays its welcome. The puzzles are just tricky enough to feel clever.
The trick with short adventures is density. When a game knows it only has a few hours of your attention, every scene tends to carry weight. There's no filler because there's no room for it.
If your backlog is a graveyard of unfinished epics, try a short one next. Finishing something feels surprisingly good.
