Casinacho Games: A Week With the Little Arcade Collection
I went into Casinacho Games expecting to bounce off it in ten minutes. Mini-game collections tend to feel like a pile of half-finished ideas. This one, though, kept me around for the whole week, and I think it's down to how the pieces connect.
Every mini-game feeds into a shared star system. Do well in the reflex challenges and you unlock the trickier timing puzzles, which in turn open up the later stages. It's a small hook, but it gave each session a point beyond just chasing a high score.
Control-wise it's a dream on the tram. Everything works with one thumb, load times are tiny, and I could jump in and out between stops without ever feeling lost. The art is bright and readable even on a cracked screen, which mine sadly is.
If I'm nitpicking, a couple of the mini-games recycle their patterns too soon, and I wish there were more variety in the later half. But for something you pick up in idle moments, it's better put together than it has any right to be. Worth a look if you like quick, tidy arcade fun.
