Racing
Nitro Verge
★★★★☆ 4.3
Nitro Verge doesn't pretend to be a simulation, and that's exactly why it works on a phone. Races are two or three minutes, drifting is forgiving but satisfying, and the sense of speed is genuinely good.
You unlock cars and tracks by finishing events, and each vehicle handles distinctly enough that swapping actually changes your approach. The tilt controls are decent, though I stuck with the on-screen buttons.
Some later cars feel a touch overpowered, but the moment-to-moment racing stays fun. This is my go-to when I want a quick adrenaline hit without a commitment.
What we liked
- Snappy drift-focused handling
- Short, replayable races
- Cars that feel different to drive
